dental cleanings

Regular dental care is one of the best investments you will ever make. Regular check-ups, including periodic cleaning and x-rays, when needed, will help avoid serious dental problems, which could cause unnecessary pain, expense and possible tooth loss. We have found many are not fully aware of the most effective methods for brushing and flossing. We will be glad to instruct you.

zirconia crowns

Zirconia crowns are becoming one of the most chosen dental materials for dental crowns. It is all tooth colored material, extraordinarily tough, and translucent enough to be similar to natural teeth.

Zirconium crowns won’t corrode and the normal black gum line that you can see around a porcelain fused metal crown, won’t happen because of the strong ceramic material used. Also the normal too hot/cold sensations you can feel with other crowns does not normally occur because of the lack of electrical conductivity.

PFM crowns

PFM crowns are crowns made from metal and then covered with a porcelain material for esthetic purposes. Like Zirconia crowns, PFM crowns are very durable. The porcelain can be matched to your teeth so they have an attractive appearance. However, the porcelain portion can be chipped off and the underlying metal can peer through. PFM crowns can wear down and can show more of the dark line as the gums recedes. Crowns do not protect the gums from receding, they only protect the tooth they are covering.

A veneer is a think shell of tooth-colored material. Two types of veneer restorations are available. The direct veneer, which is made in the office out of composite material. Or the indirect veneer which is fabricated in the dental laboratory.

Advantages to veneers include providing a natural tooth appearance and less trimming of the tooth structure.

composite fillings

Our office does not do amalgam fillings (silver fillings). We do offer tooth colored composite fillings.

Composite fillings are becoming the most widely accepted materials of choice by dentists and patients. Composite fillings are more esthetic in appearance than amalgam fillings. Composite fillings have been placed mainly in anterior teeth because of their esthetic qualities, but with  new advances in their durability, they are increasingly being placed in posterior teeth as well.

dental sealants

A sealant is a plastic-like coating that is applied over the occlusal pits and grooves (chewing surface) of the teeth. Sealants are used to protect difficult-to-clean occlusal surfaces of the teeth from the bacteria that cause decay.

teeth whitening

Tooth whitening is a noninvasive method of lightening the color of dark or discolored teeth. Tooth whitening has become a routine procedure that includes both in-office options and professionally supervised at-home options. The three primary indications for having a tooth-whitening procedure are (1) stains from foods, cigarette smoking, coffee or tea, (2) aged teeth, and (3) stains from mild tetracycline stains and mild fluorosis.

removable partial

A removable partial is a type of denture that can be inserted and removed from the mouth. For patients who have one or more missing teeth.

Considerations for a removable partial include: to replace several teeth in the same quadrant or in both quadrants of the same arch, to serve as a temporary replacement for missing teeth in a child, to replace missing teeth for a patient who cannot tolerate longer appointments and the extensive preparation required for placement of a fixed bridge or implants.

A denture, also known as false teeth, are constructed to replace missing teeth. They are supported by the soft and hard tissue of the oral cavity. There two types of dentures: removable with allow you to slip them in and out of your mouth. Or dentures that snap into implants.

dental implants

Dental Implants are the most advanced tooth replacement system ever devised. Implants help preserve the jawbone to prevent the appearance of premature aging. They look and function like natural teeth. They are placed/restored in the office with minimal discomfort. Implants have a 95% success rate. Implants allow you to eat the foods you love and talk, smile and laugh with confidence. Implants never develop decay, never require root canals, and can completely eliminate the need for a denture. Implants can help people of any age and represent a conservative treatment option - adjacent teeth are left unaltered.

nitrous oxide

Nitrous oxide is commonly known as laughing gas. It is a colorless gas that gives a calming effect to patients during treatment. After treatment is finished you breath in 100% for 5 minutes to allow the Nitrous to exit the body and you are ready to take on the rest of your day. We offer a few different fragrant nose cozies to chose from.

concious sedation

To help accommodate our patients comfortability, we offer conscious sedation in our office. Concious sedation is achieved by taking oral sedative medication that relaxes you but you are still able to respond verbally and physically to cues. However we do require you to have someone drive you to and from your appointment and stay with you for up to 6 hours after procedure.
